Volunteer
Volunteering with Saint Child gives you the unique opportunity to make a positive impact on two lives at a time! Our volunteers are a vital piece of the critical work we do! If you would be interested in learning how your gifts and abilities could be used to further the Kingdom and impact the lives of our young women, join us for our upcoming volunteer information session!

Contacting Saint Child is the first step in getting involved with Saint Child and will give you a chance to learn a little more about the population we serve. This will be held at the Saint Child office located inside the Palau Association building at 1500 NW 167th Place, Beaverton, OR 97006.

Steps to Becoming a Volunteer
  1. Email or call office to find the next volunteer information session.
  2. Print, review, and complete the volunteer application and bring with you to the volunteer information session along with your photo ID.
  3. Attend a training session

Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals
  • Volunteer coordinator (recruit/manage/schedule volunteers and their activities)
  • Event and fundraising support (banquet/ fundraising events, mailings)
  • House coverage (day and overnights)
  • Transportation
  • Bible study leader
  • Cooking or nutrition support
  • Tutoring

Support Opportunities for Individuals
  • Sponsor one resident’s stay at Saint Child with a monthly gift
  • Provide professional expertise (legal, counseling, tutoring, building trades, automotive repair, event planning, marketing, public relations, IT support)
  • Support opportunities for foundations provide matching grant(s) to increase giving at our annual banquet.

GROUPS

Volunteer Activities for Groups
  • Facility renovation projects
  • Spring cleaning days
  • Seasonal outdoor yard work
  • Interior decorating of a designated area (adopt a room)
  • "Special activity" days for residents, to provide exposure to hobbies, arts and crafts or cultural experiences
Support Opportunities for Groups
  • Arrange a special one-time offering at your church for this home-front mission
  • Plan and execute a small fundraiser (baby-bottle coin drive, garage sale, car wash, etc.)
  • Plan and execute a paper products, household cleaning supplies or canned food drive

Support Opportunities for Employers
  • Provide matching grant(s) to increase giving at our annual banquet
